Jason Laws

Jason has been teaching at Newcastle Golf Club since 1999 and is recognised as one of Australia’s leading teaching professionals.
Jason has received the following accolades from the NSW/ACT PGA :

• Teaching Professional of the Year 2002 & 2015,
•  Coach of the Year 2016,
• Game Development Professional of the Year 2018
• PGA National Game Development Professional of the Year 2018.
• Game Development Professional of the Year 2023

Jason Laws Golf Academy

Lee Akers

Lee completed his traineeship at Shelly Beach Golf Club in 2003 before starting a career in the pro-am circuit. During this, he found his love for teaching and running his own pro shop. 

Since then, Lee has:

• Ran and operated Kincumber Driving Range for 12 years. A business that he built up from scratch. 
• Was the Head Club Professional at Muree Golf Club for 3 years
• Coached at the Jason Laws Golf Academy for the past 15 months. 

Andrew Bowles

Andrew has travelled the world learning from some of the brightest minds along the way, seen here having a session with Mike Bender ( Voted one of USA’s Top 3 coaches in 2019 ) at the 2020 PGA Summit in Florida.

Andrew has received the following achievements:

• PGA professional with 25 years of professional experience.
• Andrew recently worked with the PGA of America in Vietnam developing facilities & coaching programs during a 4-year strategic partnership.
• Managed and coached Junior Golf programs in Vietnam including 2 students who went on to win National Champions (1x Junior, 1 x Women’s)
• He coached the Indonesian National Team prior to moving to Vietnam.
• TPI Certified level 2 coach
